The Delaware River Basin Commission (DRBC) is in the process of considering natural gas development regulations for the Delaware River Basin; however, even before recent news accounts were released revealing elevated levels of bromide in rivers in the western region of the state attributed to natural gas drilling, I had concerns about the safety of our water supply and thought the proposed regulations needed to be strengthened. That is why, on April 8, I sent a letter to the commission with several recommendations.
